The Many Ways We Read!
Making the most of ALL the technology,
H uses Mrs. Russell's laptop!
Ipads are used continuously during Daily 5
We use apps for Word Work, Reading & Listening
to stories, and now Writing!
Some good Old Fashion BOOK reading!
C and L are snuggled up with their towels while
C reads to L!
C is using a TAPE player to listen to books on tape!
A. is publishing his story in Power Point!
We love our desktops for this purpose!
Students can save and retrieve their stories
on their own H drive.
100% Engaged!
We use carpet squares, towels, the area rug
Mrs. R.'s chair, stools or
a stack of chairs like Q chose to use!

Book Boxes are a very important tool.
C is using one of our most popular apps
called Monkey Word
Usually, students only read with 1 partner but they
were listening to W read so quietly!
Who wants to stop that??

A 3 for 1!
This group of students like to work with the lights off
much of the time. Today it is pretty gloomy
outside and so I moved a lamp to
the carpet area for our readers!
Nothing makes me smile more than when I
hear two kiddos discussing or endorsing
a book! Students can significantly effect
reading interest in other students!
Who doesn't want to see
why Susie Q* can't put that book down?!?
*Suzy Q is a make believe student I refer to when I
need to share an example without singling my students out!
