Off You Go, Writers!!

We are working very hard on the writing process!  Each day we go through the same steps to write our Small Moment story.  Check us out!

The steps we follow:

First I think of a story.  NOT a huge watermelon story, but a tiny little seed story.

Next we plan.  This means we touch and tell our story on each page without doing any writing. 

Once the story is planned out in our head, we go back and draw a simple sketch on each page to help us remember the order and details in our story. 

Now we are ready to WRITE!!

The last step, at least for now, is REVISING!  We know that when I'm done, I've just begun!  Revising means adding more details to make the story better and making sure the story sounds right and makes sense! Good writers read over a story many times to check for these parts!
