On Thursday we started our new writing unit "Nonfiction Chapter Books"! In this unit we will use a teaching voice, not a story telling voice, to tell our readers what we know about topics we know a lot about. This is how we begin:
They are telling their writing buddy the 5 things they know about the topic they will write about today.
We have experts on dogs, gymnastics, cats, remote controlled cars, soccer...
