Exploring Exoskeletons!

What could be better than using M&Ms to learn about the exoskeleton of an insect?  We used a paper clip to scrap and poke through the outer shell until we could see the inside!  THEN we put 2 M&Ms in our mouth to listen for the "crunch" that we sometimes hear when we step on an insect or other bug. Except we NEVER kill bees.  Ask your child why!!
