Supply List! Check out the additional items you will need!!

This weekend is the tax-free window to buy supplies!  As noted on this list, I have changed a few supplies and added a couple!  Additionally, there are some optional supplies you might want but don't necessarily need! If you have any questions, I'm an email away!

Mrs. Russell’s School Supply List

I have changed some quantities or items that are on the 

Concord “First Grade List”! J

J  2 dozen pencils, please sharpen if possible! J

J  Washable school glue, Elmer’s preferred

J  8 glue sticks, Elmer's preferred

J  *Pencil Box- Plastic, 8.25" x 5.25" x 2"  OR   a LARGE zippered case

J  *2 Pink Pearl Erasers

J  *2 boxes 24 count Crayola crayons

J  *Scissors

J  A pack of BLACK EXPO low odor dry erase markers- chisel tip  (2-pack is fine)

J  Highlighters (any color or size) I’d recommend a 4 pack because we use these ALL the time!

J  *1 Subject, Wide Rule, PURPLE Spiral Notebook  (label on the inside) 

J  * (2 boxes) Crayola Markers, Classic Colors, 10/set

J  *Headphones (Headphones work better in little ears!)   

J  1 Box Kleenex

J  1 Roll paper towels  

J  *ART shirt (from kindergarten)

J  Zipper Storage Bags           Girls-sandwich size       Boys-gallon size 

J  Disinfectant Clorox Wipes

J  1 NON-pastel pack Post-It Notes (You can get any shapes or regular!)

J  **PTG has purchased the folders your child will need! J Thank you PTG!!

In ADDITION -3 EXTRA Items Requested by Mrs. Russell 

ü  *1/2 binder (the skinniest one)   I will create a name label for the spine with your child’s name but initially, please label on the inside in a small corner.  You can choose any color but I really prefer the Avery® Durable View Binder with the clear pockets on the front and back. (Target/Walmart/Office Supply stores)

ü  A pack of any color pens except black, pink, or red!  Your child will use these for daily writing! 

ü  An additional ANY color or design 1 Subject, Wide Rule, Spiral Notebook  (label on the inside) 

OPTIONAL but recommended! These items simply offer extra choice and convenience:

Ø  Pencil tip erasers are optional but we LOVE them when our erasers break off!

Ø  *A good pencil sharpener (that holds shavings!!) is optional but recommended.

Ø  An EXPO eraser OR an old sock!! Your child will use a white board daily.

Ø  Colored pencils are not necessary but offer another choice to break the monotony!

Just a thought…   You may want to buy extra packs of the consumables (crayons, glue, markers, etc.) while they are the cheapest price of the year!  You can use these to replenish materials throughout the school year as needed or for use at home.  I will provide a labeled storage bin for your child to store extra supplies.  The children have access to it whenever they need to replenish or replace!! Or you can keep the extras at home!

**PLEASE REMEMBER OUR BLOCK TEACHERS!  THEY REALLY APPRECIATE

(AND NEED) KLEENEX AND CLOROX WIPES!

Finally, the brands we’ve chosen are simply our preference because we’ve discovered that they are the highest quality/durability.  Please do not feel obligated to buy brand specific, especially if price is a concern or otherwise!
